1. Check for a short circuit between # 1 terminal and vehicle body after disconnecting M89 connector using ohm meter.
   = When checking with the wire shaken, the resistance value changes -0Ohms~29 m ohms
2. Disconnect the I/P- M connector in passenger compartment junction block
   = The resistance value changes when shaking the wire.
3. Perform the driving test after connecting jump wire between M89 connector and I/P-M connector =Normal

Study tips Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) system controls valve overlap by forcibly activating the camshaft and adjusts EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) amount. Study tips It decreases exhaust gas (NOx, HC) and improves fuel economy, idle state, torque in low speed and power in high speed.Study tips This system uses engine oil pressure and consists of the two CVVT Oil Control Valves (OCV) in each bank which supplies oil to cam phaser according to PWM (Pulse With Modulator) signal of the PCM, a CVVT Oil Temperature Sensor (OTS) which detects the oil temperature and a cam phaser which is installed on the end of the camshaft and converts camshaft phase.Study tips The oil getting out of the CVVT oil control valve flows into the cam phaser and rotates the rotor inside camphaser.Study tips At this time, the camshaft rotates with the rotor and the cam phase is changed.

5.Study tips Disconnect the seat belt pretensioner connector (A).

6.Study tips Loosen the seat belt pretensioner mounting bolts (B,C) and remove the seat belt pretensioner.

Installation

1.Study tips Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.

2.Study tips Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes.

3.Study tips Install the seat belt pretensioner with a bolts (B, C).
